This week I have progressed to running the entire distance of my training runs. I'm really happy about this as I've managed it much sooner than I'd anticipated. Most of my runs this week have been on the treadmill so my pace has been steady as well. In the past I have found it difficult to transfer the steady pace on the treadmill to the streets so I will have to see how I get on this time. That said the treadmill is not proving to be my friend. Whilst it is helping to keep a steady pace the gym I'm a member of seems to randomly impose a 30 min time limit on the equipment. I can understand why this is implemented but the gym is not busy and I don 't understand why they are not implementing it on every machine. It is currently taking me 35 mins to run 5k so the 30 min time limit is having a major impact one ability to cover the distance I need to. Having said that it is probably a good thing that I had to kerb my distance a I did not feel great after my 7k run on Sunday and so today I only did 3k. This could be a good thing as I have covered the 10k over 3 days. |
